Australia Rejects Carbon Cap and Tax!

Looks like the world is waking up to the Global Warming Hoax, and is pretty much rejecting the flawed science behind the hoopla. “Australia’s parliament rejected laws to set up a sweeping carbon emissions trade scheme on Wednesday. This essentially shoves the key policy of Prime Minister Kevin Rudd into the crapper. It may also signal an early election in Australia”

With the media essentially poo-pooing the same old tired story, and pushing for thier agenda, it will be interesting to watch how the hoax plays on the cap and tax legislation being pushed all over the world.   It will also be interesting to see how this plays out in what is quickly becomming Nope-en-hagen.  Watch the news feeds in the next 24-48 hours and we’ll see how it gets covered.

The defeat by parliament’s upper house Senate ends Rudd’s hopes of taking his legislated climate commitments to next week’s global talks in Copenhagen, where world leaders will discuss new targets to curb greenhouse gas emissions. [...]

The Senate rejection throws the future of carbon trading into confusion, creating new uncertainty for business which had sought certainty from the political debate. [...]

The scheme would have been the biggest outside Europe, covering 75 percent of Australian emissions and starting in July 2011. It would have effectively forced polluters to pay for their emissions, requiring them to purchase emission permits from a carbon market. [...]

“Obviously this does make Copenhagen harder if we don’t get this scheme up,” [Climate Change Minister Penny] Wong said.

Chuck Norris Nails it Again.

Chuck Norris, yes the actor from all of those action films, and six time Karate champion, is unapologetic conservative.  He speaks from the heart, and is usually dead on in his writings.  I for one could not agree with him more.

There is much lacking from our forces “Commander in Chief”  one is the ability to make unpopular decisions under pressure.

Chuck says this:

This much I know: We should either unleash the full potential of the U.S. military on Afghanistan to complete the mission as quickly as we can or pull out altogether and bring our service members home to U.S. soil and their families.

President Obama, please quit trying to please everyone. Help our troops on the ground overseas; complete this mission, or get them out of Dodge!

I am absolutely in agreement, our military forces are designed to do one thing, and police actions, or public relations are not thier strong suit.

Turn the loose, let them do the job, or bring them home, and let the “Turd (third) World” crapholes go down the toilet, as they have been trying to do for years.  The Americans cannot and should not try to fix every problem in the world.

Self-Esteem Movement Has Wrecked This Country

Having sat through many of the Parent Teacher conferences for my offspring, and observed the “Politically Correct”, build our students “self esteem” rah, rah sessions, I cannot help but observe a few things.

The schools for the most part are turning out mediocrity, as they have bought into the “PC” and “Self Esteem” movements wholeheartedly. In fact in many cases the schools are the driving force behind it.

One can watch, while well meaning but misguided adults try to level the playing field, and hand out their medals to each and every participant. Everyone wins, yeah!

In the burgeoning and rabid “PC” movement, moral and ethical absolutes are subjegated. One changes the words but not the underlying meaning. This is done to somehow make the term used less offensive. In many cases it falls flat.

When one cannot communicate directly and succinctly, the information which is needed is lost in the shuffle. The schools are so afraid of potentially offending someone, that they have effectively neutered the language.

Self-esteem is great thing when it grows from a healthy self-image and is further lifted up by real accomplishment. Self-esteem is useless when it is pursued as a goal. Divirsity much the same. If it is honest, non-legislated diversity, it is a wonderful thing. When enforced by the brownshirts of political correctness, it is not genuine, it’s a fantasy, with a really thin veneer.

Presidents Clinton and Bush were full of self-esteem as terrorists plotted the 9/11 attacks under the noses of our clueless but confident alphabet soup bureaucracies. The attacks themselves dented no one’s esteem. Richard Clarke was the only government official to feel any blame and apologize as far as I can remember. President Bush awarded CIA Director George Tenant a medal for crying out loud!

Politicians of all all stripes are arrogant and proud as interest on the national debt and entitlement spending slowly, blob-like, consume the federal budget. And now the private sector and state governments follow suit with stumblebum mismanagement that has wrecked the nation’s economy. Finally, individual citizens soil themselves after gorging on credit, new cars and McMansions. And mommy government will pick them up and clean them off. Don’t want them to feel bad…

Like spoiled children in a no-fault world, this endless chain of fools lines up to receive participation prizes. Congress responds by creating the Federal Failure Reward Package on the advice of the same geniuses who caused the debacle.

This is how unbridled, unwarranted self-esteem destroys a culture that once believed in personal responsibility, thrift and self-reliance.

Outside of our military, self-esteem is turning this country into a colossal failure. Our car manufacturers are going broke while Japanese companies move in and make a profit, on our soil, with American workers. This shows that the average American still knows how to work and achieve, but our leaders and managers are egotistical losers too stupid to leverage it. What has any government agency or public enterprise done right in the last 8, 16, 20 years?

I could give a damn whether our next president is the messiah or the anti-Christ; all I want is competence from my government and our public institutions. If that’s too much to ask, could they at least stop rewarding failure?

It’s high time that people who screw up got the good old-fashioned ego-destroying, a$$-kicking they deserve.

Did you lose a billion dollars today? Then your self-esteem should be crappy, and by the way, you’re fired!

Bought more house and more car than you can afford? Looks like you may need to find a cardboard box underneath the interstate off-ramp. Your fellow citizens won’t be paying for your stupidity.

You’re a failure. Want a self-esteem builder? You can start by cleaning up your own mess. Our nation is out of balance: We have a surplus of self-esteem and a deficit of personal responsibility. Third-world countries are made of this.

Copenhagen conference: India, China plan joint exit

The global warming hoax is getting very little traction in “Nopenhagen”, a play on the word for the conference site, Copenhagen. There is a mass exodus of four nations pending on what they try to ram down our throats at the conference. If those nations exit, it will create a situation where many more will just exit, which at least would give the conference the notice that it deserves.

BEIJING: In an unprecedented move, India on Saturday joined China and two other developing countries to prepare for a major offensive on rich nations at the Copenhagen conference on climate change next month.

The four countries, which include Brazil and South Africa, agreed to a strategy that involves jointly walking out of the conference if the developed nations try to force their own terms on the developing world, Jairam Ramesh, the Indian minister for environment and forests (independent charge), said.

“We will not exit in isolation. We will co-ordinate our exit if any of our non-negotiable terms is violated. Our entry and exit will be collective,” Ramesh told reporters in Beijing.

The move comes after reports suggested that rich nations led by Denmark are trying to set the agenda of the conference by presenting a draft containing a set of specific proposals….

This is a wonderful letter to send out to your Senator / Congressman. I am doing so, I urge you to do so as well. FInally, the inconvient truth catches up with them, turning the global warming pile of excrement to an Inconvienient lie.  This is the biggest hoax foisted on the populations of the world for political, monetary gain of certain individuals and groups at the expense of  “You and I”.

We should not rest until every last one of those responsible are rewarded for thier efforts, by making some small rocks out of larger ones at some federally funded labor camp.

They think that they are so much better than the rest of us. It’s now time to show them that they are exactly the same as us, only greedier.

Climategate… The Destruction of Science for Political Gain, and the Implementation of Global Socialism:

The veracity of the recently culled documentation known as “Climategate” is now established, including the records of electronic mail, computer programming language, programmer’s notes, raw data, and other documentation covering a period of time from 1996 through Nov 12, 2009.

We finally have caught those who have hijacked climatology in the most blatant act of criminal obfuscation of truth and perversion of science yet discovered. Two paramount questions come to mind: 1) What shall we do about this crime; and 2) Will the Congress of these United States allow this cabal of the United Nations’ pseudo research establishment to further propagate deception into our legislative and regulatory policy decisions. Contrary to the assertions of Vice President Albert Gore Jr., it is not the Earth, but rather the life, liberty and property of American Citizens and the Citizens of several nations that now hangs “in the balance.”

The revealed facts show, beyond a reasonable doubt, that a conspiracy was perpetrated by those in positions of public trust, to willfully defraud the Governments and Citizens of several nations, including the United States; for the purposes of securing public funding, influencing public policy, promulgating public law, and altering the economic models of the several nations so to serve the preposterous agenda of several private individuals, linked directly and indirectly to the United Nations. These individuals acted in collusion to secure personal financial gain and professional accolade, through an implementation of such policies and laws, as would guarantee income for those who positioned themselves in industries established solely to provide products of remedy to the pseudo climate change “crisis” invented through their own acts of deception.

The US National Academy of Sciences (NAS) appointed a committee chaired by Professor Wegman to investigate and arbitrate a debate on the ‘Hockey Stick Graph’ (a contrived device used to fraudulently illustrate the assertion that rising global temperatures are caused through man’s use of fossil fuel—Anthropological Climate Change / Global warming ACC/AGW). The graph was created by Michael Mann of the Climate Research Unit (CRU) at the University of East Anglia. Professor Wegman stated that 43 individuals represented the core group of climate scientists for the United Nations’ Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC). Wegman also observed that these 43 individuals acted to collectively publish their material and act as their own “peer review” process. It is important to note that the goal of the now-defunct Hockey Stick Graph was to eliminate the Medieval Warming Period, so to advance the idea that the Twentieth Century is the warmest period of recorded history. From the evidence contained in the culled electronic mail discussions of the CRU staff and by examination of programmers’ notes contained in the CRU climate modeling computer codes, it is clear that this act of deception was willful so to achieve predetermined outcomes that benefitted the promoters of ACC/AGW to the detriment of these United States and several other nations.

Dr. Tim Ball, a renowned environmental consultant and former climatology professor at the University of Winnipeg, Canada, has stated that these 43 individuals: assert total control over the IPCC discussions; orchestrate editorials in major news outlets, such as the New York Times, to promote their view (They provide the names of journal review editors, to review their own articles); actively colluded to deny Freedom of Information requests of their data and methods; sought to silence dissent within the editorials of peer journals, and; conspired to have James Sayers fired from the Editorial staff of Geophysical Review Letters, because he questioned their conclusions. http://www.canadafreepress.com/index.php/article/3021

These same 43 individuals control the Hadley Center, which serves as the depository of information on global temperature data collection. The reports issued by these individuals, through the IPCC, serves as the basis for the Kyoto Protocol and the Copenhagen Accord. Moreover, Dr James Hansen of NASA is implicated in this willful deception, through his purposeful reduction of past global temperatures so to manipulate the historical record and make our present age appear warmer. If not for the far-reaching and serious consequences created by their deception, the menagerie would be comical in that a collection of UN bumblers were able to dupe so many “statesmen” and self-proclaimed “experts” of the mainstream media for so long. But they were perhaps all-too-willing dupes.

Therefore, based upon the disclosed evidence, WE demand that all Public Laws of the U.S. Code, U.S. Federal Regulatory statutes, U.S. Administrative policies, U.S. Executive Orders, U.S. Presidential Directives, and to the extent applicable in any jurisdiction of the individual States–State Law, County ordinance, Municipal code, Community guideline, etc–effected, implemented or otherwise advocated under the color of Anthropological Climate Change, Global Warming, Sustainable Development, Wildlands Projects, International Biosphere Reserves, World Heritage Sites, Agenda 21, and all similar or related vehicles adopted under the pretense of the IPCC and UNESCO conventions on Climate Change and Greenhouse Emissions, be immediately suspended, revoked, withdrawn from further consideration, and declared nullified. WE further demand that all associated Treaties, Conventions, Agreements, and Instruments, whether ratified or not ratified by the Senate of the United States, be declared null, void, and of no force.

Therefore, based upon the revealed facts, WE further demand that all funding for all programs, research, staffs, administrations, facilities, incentives, rewards, grants, salaries, incomes, vestments, tenures, scholarships, entitlements, or any other similar construct or instrument related to the preceding paragraph, be immediately suspended, repealed, revoked and withdrawn from further consideration; and that appropriate legislation for their immediate reimbursement to the public treasuries of the effected jurisdictions be promulgated.

Therefore, based upon revealed facts, WE further demand that those individuals responsible for this public deception and act of infamous fraud be prosecuted to the fullest extent of which the laws of these United States will allow.

Obama’s grandmother in Mecca for Hajj.

Sarah Obama, 87, is being accompanied by a nephew and Obama’s cousin, Omran.On Wednesday Sarah Obama was in the valley of Mina with an African delegation, according to the Saudi daily Okaz.

Obama, the mother of the American president’s father, lives in a village in Kenya and is one of the many guests of Saudi Arabia’s King Abdullah bin Abdul Aziz al-Saud….

May I remind you that according to Saudi law, non-muslims may not enter Mecca.

Rosanne’s Lucidity Has Left The Planet!

Rosanne Barr, the crotch grabbing anthem singer, and not so funny commediene ‘except looking’ with her new bobble-head look, has left the planet. This is not to say that she had too much intelligence to begin with, but damn.  It is hard to believe that people still think it’s all “Bush’s” fault.

Never mind, that the biggest deficit ever, has been floated by the Anointed One, Obama.

Well, I guess it’s a good thing that Rosanne is doing what she does, and really doesn’t have anything else to do other that run her mouth.  Perhaps she acted… “Stupidly.”

Lessons From A Capitalist Thanksgiving

It is an amazing fact that the schools, by and large do not really know the real history behind the first Thanksgiving. On second thought, It’s not so amazing.  The social elites, and modern socialists in general charge of academia, have been pushing thier brand of revisionism under the guise of political correctness for the last 30 years of so.

They believe that the socialistic tendencies have never been trid beofre and really do not have any kind of a rational handle on history to be sure.

‘s astonishing and a little horrifying that America’s elites know so little about their country’s history. Case in point: Jared Bernstein of the Economic Policy Institute. Jared is an influential left-ish economic polemicist and a sometime adviser to Barack Obama on economic affairs. I’ve debated with Jared dozens of times over the past several years, but what happened this week was especially disturbing.

On Monday night, I told Larry Kudlow about the story of the first Thanksgiving.

I explained that the first Thanksgiving was a celebration of abundance after a period of socialism and starvation. It seems Bernstein never heard about this chapter in U.S. history; he called it an “exercise in revisionist history.” Admitting that he had never read the memoirs of Plymouth governor William Bradford, he nevertheless dismissed the story as untrue. But the facts are undeniable, and there is nothing to revise. Bradford’s historical accounts, which I quote below, have been read by schoolchildren for over 300 years.

The members of the Plymouth colony had arrived in the New World with a plan for collective property ownership. Reflecting the current opinion of the aristocratic class in the 1620s, their charter called for farmland to be worked communally and for the harvests to be shared.

“The strong, or man of parts, had no more in division of victuals and clothes than he that was weak and not able to do a quarter the other could; this was thought injustice.”

You probably will not be surprised to hear that the colonists starved. Men were unwilling to work to feed someone else’s children. Women were unwilling to cook for other women’s husbands. Fields lay largely untilled and unplanted.

“And for men’s wives to be commanded to do service for other men, as dressing their meat, washing their clothes, etc., they deemed it a kind of slavery, neither could many husbands well brook it.”

Famine came as soon as they ate through their provisions. After famine came plague. Half the colony died. Unlike most socialists, they learned from their mistakes, giving each person a parcel of land to tend to for themselves.

“At length, after much debate of things, the Governor … gave way that they should set corn every man for his own particular, and in that regard trust to themselves … And so assigned to every family a parcel of land, according to the proportion of their number, for that end.”

The results were overwhelmingly beneficial. Men worked hard, even though before they had constantly pleaded illness. Fields were not only tilled and planted but also diligently harvested. Colonists traded with the surrounding Indian nation and learned to plant maize, squash and pumpkin and to rotate these crops from year to year. The harvest was bountiful, and new colonists immigrated to the thriving settlement.

“This had very good success, for it made all hands very industrious, so as much more corn was planted than otherwise would have been by any means the Governor or any other could use, and saved him a great deal of trouble, and gave far better content. The women now went willingly into the field, and took their little ones with them to set corn; which before would allege weakness and inability; whom to have compelled would have been thought great tyranny and oppression.”

The colonists threw off the statist intellectual fashions of their day. They concluded that the ancient principles of private property as recorded in the Ten Commandments were superior to the utopian speculations of Plato and his 17th-century imitators. Human nature was a fact of life, self-centered, fallen. No cadre of elite philosopher kings could change the cold facts of reality.

“The experience that was had in this common course and condition … may well evince the vanity of that conceit of Plato’s … and that the taking away of property … would make them happy and flourishing; as if they were wiser than God.”

It’s genuinely scary to me that a leading member of the left intellectual establishment–a group that will shortly rule both of our elected branches–doesn’t know about America’s first experiment with socialism. On top of that, he doesn’t care to know. Neither did the philosopher kings who, ignorantly and blithely, imposed on our forebears a system that led to malnutrition, pestilence and mass fatalities.

But it has always been that way. Men in ivory towers, ivied halls, foundation-funded think tanks or bustling newsrooms dream up new forms of social organization. They write books, policy papers and five-year plans telling us all that is wrong with the way we live now and what could be done if we simply adhere to their analyses.

When the famines, tortilla riots or credit collapses come, the rest of us have to deal with the consequences. It has been proved that the “vanity and conceit” (Bradford’s phrase, not mine) of the philosopher kings ends in disaster–but by then they’ve already moved on to something else. When we remind them that their ideas have been tried–and found wanting–in the past, they cavalierly deny history, clap their hands over their ears and cry even more loudly for “change.” If we listen to them, we deserve what we will get.
